06. What does Fram Studio Co Do?
At Fram Studio Company, we feel a strong obligation to storytelling. Storytelling is uniquely human, tracing back to the origins of humanity itself. In an ever-advancing world of technology, we find that experiential storytelling is as human as it gets. To feel the cold wind bite our face, or the heat of an erupting volcano press against our clothes, these moments connect us with our subjects to a degree that no technology ever could. We believe that these lived experiences g

05. Moving Forward
Fram (pronounced Frahm) means forward. While we love to look back at history, we get most excited about looking forward. The Fram flag is symbolic of this. The bulk of the flag points Forward into the wind, while the lesser tapered side points backwards . A perfect ratio for how we envision Fram Studio Co. We believe that creativity is forward moving, and that moving forward is not just a motion, but evolution. We approach projects aiming for novelty. Is there a concept or

Among these titles, he was well known for leading the first team to cross Greenland’s interior in 1888 and 1889, and later commissioned the building of the Fram for his North Pole dash. Roald Am

02. Why Fram?
Fram, pronounced “Frahm”, is named after an early polar sailing vessel. Fram, meaning “Forward” in Norwegian, was commissioned by Norwegian polar explorer Fridtjof Nansen and brought into service in 1892. Nansen wanted to test a bold theory with it. While on his expedition to be the first to cross Greenland in 1882, Nansen noted driftwood and earth from Siberia in the ice. He theorized, alongside the meteorologist Henrik Mohn, that there was an East-West current over the Arct

01. Welcome to Fram Studio Co
Ryan Rumpca March, 2026 Here we are built on the belief that stories should be earned. We value truth over trend, and we find the strongest stories lie at the intersection of curiosity, adventure, and lived experience. We love to feel the moment firsthand, not relying on a translation to show how our subject felt. We draw our inspiration from early explorers – those who ventured into the unknown on the quest for knowledge and advancement. Their expeditions were not just feat
